Installation Instructions: 

1. Remove existing strap and door bracket. Use T20 Torex drive to remove the screw attaching the existing door bracket. (Keep these screws for reinstallation of new door stops.)  Ensure that mounting surface is clean and dry prior to installation.

2. Remove Armadillo door stops from their packaging. Note: There is a left and right side door stop. The “Left” or drivers side stop is marked with an “L” and the “Right” or passenger side stop is marked with an “R” .

4. Using a 10 mm wrench remove existing door post.

5. Place retainer behind door post.

6. Reinstall post and retainer onto vehicle.  

7. Close the door and pivot  the door stop block onto the existing door post. 

8.  Repeat the same procedure for the second door stop.

9. Ensure that the mounting bolts holding the existing door posts are tight using a 10 mm wrench.

10. After several opening and closing of the door tighten stop nut on shaft with 13 mm wrench. Note: If door stop becomes sticky or squeaks apply wheel bearing grease to shaft. Also On some early models and vehicles with half doors trimming of the plastic interior panel is required.

Installation Instructions: 

1. Remove door stop from door. Use T20 Torex drive to remove the screw attaching the existing door bracket.  Ensure that mounting surface is clean and dry prior to installation.

2. Disassemble stop shaft from rod end and mounting bracket.

3. Press to remove stop block from shaft.

4. If replacing stop bushing, remove retaining ring and press out white bushing.  Reinstall new bushing and replace retaining clip.

5. If installing Travel Limits bushings (these are black in color, there two length 15 mm and 30 mm), place black bushing on shaft. Repress stop block back onto shaft. Note: There is a left and right side door stop. The “Left” or drivers side stop is marked with an “L” and the “Right” or passenger side stop is marked with an “R” .  The stop blocks are installed in reverse depending on which side left or right.

6. Rethread shaft back into rod end and mounting bracket assembly. Tighten nut onto rod end to secure the shaft. 

7. Use the existing Torex screws to mount the stop to the door with the head of the bracket bolt facing up.

8. Close the door and pivot  the door stop block onto the existing door post. 

9.  Repeat the same procedure for the second door stop.

10. Ensure that the mounting bolts holding the existing door posts are tight using a 10 mm wrench.

11. Apply wheel bearing grease to shaft.

1. Remove existing bumpers  by pressing rubber tip back up thru the hood.

3. Place bumpers thru hood.  

4. Replace the washer and nut onto the bumper bolt. Tighten the nuts with a Metric 8 mm wrench. 

1. Remove existing bumpers  by pressing rubber tip back up thru the hood.

2. Remove the nut and washer from the new bumpers.

3. Place bumpers thru hood.  

4. Replace the washer and nut onto the bumper bolt. Tighten the nuts with a Metric 8 mm wrench.
